Comments:
I was looking for a high-end thermal bib tight without chamois for riding in the Canadian winter. I wanted micro fleece thermal (check), wind and weather resistant (check) and comfortable (check). As an added bonus, these come with optional bright yellow highlights and reflective bits so I'm seen on the grey road better. Pearl makes great winter gear, but this is my first Pearl bib tight. When cycling in iffy conditions, I don't cheap out if I want to enjoy the read. The premium price is worth every penny for these tights. I prefer the non-chamois type so I can wear my regular bibs underneath as an extra layer - plus I can wear these cross-country skiing if I want. Bibs are ideal for blocking out the cold and staying in position. The straps on these are barely noticeable - another plus. I was really impressed with the wind-blocking and warmth - it was -10°C with the windchill and I was still warm enough. The only things I would change is to put the lower leg zippers on the inside, where I can reach them easier, and move the yellow away from where it gets a chainring tattoo. If you ride in the cold, you can't go wrong with these tights.
